We find ourselves driving to Houston from Austin twice these last couple of weeks to take care of important documents. This is because the Philippine Embassy is located in Houston, TX.
Since my husband does not want to take any more holiday leaves on our second appointment, we decided to stay at a hotel in Houston the night before and drive back home the next day. His company allows them the flexibility to work from home as long as they're able to connect online.
Driving from Austin to Houston would take more or less 2 hours and 30 minutes depending on your destination.
We have been long-time customers with Homewood Suites by Hilton. This is the third time we stayed from them. Our first stay is when we arrived in Austin, Texas from Singapore and our second stay is when we visited Dallas/Fort Worth. Both happened 4 years ago. Wow!
Now that we travel with our little love, his first reactions checking out the hotel room is a big deal. We want him to, of course, feel safe and actually like the place.
Our indicator is when he willingly wants us to put him down from either of our arms after coming into the room and have a look and feel. Otherwise, he does not like it there. Haha! Pretty straightforward, eh.
The bedroom is separate from the living area, you'll still be able to enjoy your precious privacy away from home. The kitchen is complete with cooking utensils, dishwasher soap, rugs, and kitchen towels. It's apartment-style living -- great for families.
Breakfast and Dinner (Mondays - Thursdays) are included. The dining area in this hotel is a bit small as compared to the previous ones we've stayed.
And with all other Homewood Suites by Hilton chain of hotels, the Internet connection is fast -- 'coz getting connected is a must these days.
Judging from the photo above, if our little guy could only put his thoughts into words, he'd say, "Mommy, this feels like home!" ;p
We love Homewood Suites by Hilton. We've always been since we arrived in America. We won't be staying with them multiple times if it is not so. They've definitely earned our loyalty.
