Review: Neutrogena Body Oil

The frozen chill is here. The earth around us in the north is blanketed in white. And if I don't moisturize well, I'd see chalk lines on the surface of my skin from incessant scratchings. Please don't give in to the temptation of itching the dryness out. But let's be honest, it's hard not to.

So here we're going to talk about the Neutrogena body oil. In the blog, I write lots about the Neutrogena brand (see here) because it works. Plus, they're budget-friendly too.

Do you use drug store brands?

As of current, I still can't wrap my mind around spending hundreds of dollars on consumable beauty products. Maybe because I haven't tried their efficacy yet? Or I haven't experience how their results fare better than drug store ones? Probably. That's yet to be discovered ... only if my wallet agrees to wander in those expensive beauty isles. If you have suggestions, let me know in the comment section below.

Nonetheless, I'm a firm believer in soft supple skin, especially in frigid winters. This body oil does the job for me. Before this, I use baby oil. Yes, the one we use on baby's from Johnson's like this. I find the baby oil gunky with a thick consistency. I've put up with it for a while because that's what I know until I've heard of the body oil from Neutrogena. I've never left since.

neutrogena body oil review

I use this every winter including Austin, Texas winters -- where the cold is comfortable. We use to live there for 4 years. To give you an idea, you get to experience the four seasons in a week. Crazy huh?

In the morning, you might be wrapped snugly in a windbreaker jacket. But in the afternoon, you find the
atmosphere balmy, so you take the warm clothes off. Oh wait, didn't I say the weather change happens in a week? Ah, I miss Austin.

By the way, if you're interested in Home Design, you might be interested to check out how I've decorated our home in Austin. See it here.

So I apply the Neutrogena body oil after every bath before putting on lotion. Yes, that's important. I don't skip lotion. The body oil is a supplement to help me with the winter cold. I don't apply this in summers though. A lotion will do just fine. Why? Because I'm lazy. I want to be efficient with my time so I could go and do my thing. lol. Still, it's up to you if you want to apply this body oil all year round.

Product Review

(Note: I'm not paid to do this. The list below is my honest opinion of the Neutrogena body oil.)

Pros
- Glide easily on the skin.
- Light consistency. Absorbs quickly.
- Affordable
- Does not leave an oily residue
- Mild fragrance. Strong scents give me headaches. This one doesn't.
- Leaves skin smooth, silky, and glowing.

Cons
- None that I could think of.
