Review : Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner

November 08, 2013

This is the first ever Neutrogena product I've used and got stuck ever since. I've read somewhere that alcohol base toners are bad for the skin as it strips off the natural oils of your face causing your face to produce more oil. Yikes! After I read that I was on the hunt for a good alcohol free toner and so I came across this product.

Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner product review

A toner is used to remove excess oil, dirt and grime which is left out after cleansing the face. Other benefits include: helps minimize pores, can prevent ingrown facial hairs, refreshes the face and adds a layer of protection.

I have combination skin which is oily on the T-zone and normal for the most part.

After cleansing your face with soap and water, saturate the cotton ball or cotton pad with the product and apply it across your face and neck. Afterwards moisturize your face.

A toner is usually applied after cleansing the face. As mentioned earlier this is to remove the dirt that is left out when cleansing the face. Personally, I would apply mine after washing my face in the evening. This is because dirt and oils are accumulated in your face during daytime plus you also apply makeup on so I wanted extra help to clean my face before bedtime. I choose not to apply in the morning as a personal preference, any way you don't accumulate dirt on your face when you sleep. So I only apply once a day every day.

I love it. I wouldn't be stuck with this product if I'm not. I've been using this product for two years now. It does not leave my face dry, no irritation experienced so far, no stinging sensation, no smell and most of all it doesn't break me out. It effectively removes the dirt left out after cleansing on my face too.

Affordable and can last longer depending on the number of applications. I couldn't see any cons with this product. I would definitely recommend the Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner. I hope you'll love it too.
