Unboxing The Marc Jacobs Sure Shot Bag

Marc Jacobs Sure Shot Bag

Last week, I did talk about going back to work. (See here) I don't know what to do with myself now that my schedule is packed. I had to be a housewife, a mom. I had to write/rewrite/edit every day. (Not for this blog, but here.) It's one of my venues for recreaton, unloading my thoughts. My day is incomplete if I miss doing it too. I'd never skip on the fun.)

And I had to work for 5 hours on weekdays. I'm in Software test. Part of my responsibility is updating my technical skills, write test scripts, and documentation. Phew! Honestly, it was a struggle. I keep groaning why I'm making my life difficult. Thank God, my husband is also in IT. That's how it usually is, when you're starting out.

I work from evenings until dawn. Nope, not during the day. My 3-year-old would give me tantrums. He wants mommy time too.

Yesterday, while I was on the floor, editing photos for this blog, he stood on my back. His little arms wrapped around my neck. And said, "I love you, mommy." He then clambered on the velvety sofa, my left side of the body is leaning on, to get a better reach of my cheek. He wetted it.

I was overcome with extreme guilt. Though physically present, I was not wholly there for him. I couldn't count the many times I feign interest in his new discoveries. Oh dear, mommy guilt is real. But it's not like we don't give them the best we could.

And if you think, he's sweet. He does have his moments. But gosh, there are many instances where his belting out his refusal, jerking his little legs on the floor, walking out when it's clean up time.

Geez, I'm all over the place. Anyway, back to Marc Jacobs Sure Shot Bag. The reason I want to go back to work is so I could buy the things I like. Maybe, it's shallow. But before we judge anyone, realize that there are areas where we act like hypocrites too. No one is exempted. We all have certain points of weakness, shallowness, pride.

I like things. Everybody does. And I hate asking for money when I could earn it.

Proverbs 13:4 says,
The slacker craves yet has nothing, but the soul of the diligent is fully satisfied.
~ Berean Study Bible

Yep, it convicted my heart to find employment, therefore, I hustle. Of course, there's always a price to pay. For me, it's my schedule. But it's an expense I'm willing to give. Everything in life always costs something.

Anyway, here's my first purchase, the Marc Jacobs Sure Shot Bag.

I got mine in black so I could wear it in different ways. But when I saw the burgundy, I like it too. Nah, too late. Check it here.

First Impression on the  Marc Jacobs Sure Shot Bag

It smells of new leather. It's firm to the touch. It's made out of cow leather. It's the casual look of this bag that compelled me to add it to cart. Also, the gold brass. The edgy strap. Yes, the strap is adjustable, removable. You can change it to give it a new look, Marc Jacobs offers different designs for restyling. See below.

What Could Fit Inside?

This bag is great for travel. I can place my phone, lipstick, keys, passport (if the trip requires it), a pen, a small notebook, tiddly whatnots, being careful not to glut it with much stuff to keep it in pristine condition.

I don't know if the Marc Jacobs Sure Shot is still available in store. The ones online are mostly out of stock. I don't buy in sketchy places. I got mine from FarFetch. Unfortunately, this design is no longer available on the official Marc Jacobs website.

Anyway, why don't you check out the Marc Jacobs snapshot line? It's smaller compared to the Sure Shot but it might be what you like.

Check some of my picks below.
