I don't know about you, but I'm the type who isn't patient enough to follow through with guided tours. (Although, you'll learn a lot from them.) I like the freedom of doing things at my own pace, explore the area on my own timeline, and wander around long enough to say, "Okay, I'm good, let's go!" (I'm sure some of you felt the same way.)
With that said, we did our own walking tour to Canada's Parliament Hill. I'm delighted to have booked a hotel conveniently located within a short walking distance from the famous sight.
It was a holiday when we went. Unfortunately for us, Parliament Hill is closed. It would have been amazing to see the exquisite architecture inside. The surrounding edifices leading to the Parliament Hill is beautiful nonetheless. Here's a glimpse of where we've been.
This little kid right here is tired of all that walking, he's making it clear that he wants us to carry him all the way because he doesn't want to sit in his stroller. Now, he's throwing fits. Ugh!
Other than guided tours, there are loads of fun activities for tourists and locals alike to do. If you are planning for a visit, you can check out their website.
Obviously, we didn't tarry long. Taking photos is good enough since our toddler is not happy. When he is not, then it's time to go. Haha. Talk to you soon then. ;)
