Review : Crabtree and Evelyn Pear and Pink Magnolia Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy

Friday, July 25, 2014

Regular washing of the hands can cause skin dryness and roughness. To address this issue dermatologists suggest applying a moisturising lotion or a hand cream after every wash. As Günter Kampf and Joachim Ennen states, "Regular use of a hand cream can attenuate skin dryness and roughness caused by frequent hand washing." So today I'll be sharing with your my thoughts on this ultra-moisturising hand therapy from Crabtree and Evelyn.

CRABTREE AND EVELYN CLAIMS

Lock in lashings of moisture with our Pear and Pink Magnolia Hand Therapy. Infused with shea butter and macadamia nut oil to condition and moisturise, this intensive cream nourishes skin so it’s noticeably smoother after each luxurious application.

* Contains hydrating ceramides and antioxidant-rich vitamin E
* Myrrh extract helps condition nails and cuticles
* Formulated without mineral oil, parabens, phthalates or propylene glycol

WHAT I THOUGHT

This hand cream comes in a cute pink plastic tube. From the tube a white cream comes out with not too thick and not too thin consistency which I find very good for a hand cream. To use it, you just need to twist the black cap from the tube, squeeze out a pea size or small amounts of the cream to the palm of your hands and apply liberally all over your hands.

Pros
  • It’s creamy and absorbs easily. The product sits really well on the skin.
  • It will leave your hand very smooth, soft and supple.
  • Moisturizing. I've never encountered hand creams that would make my hand super smooth until I've come across this product.
  • Lovely lovely scent. I'm definitely a fan of the scent. I've never really paid careful attention to Crabtree and Evelyn products but that all changed when my nose captured a very pleasing scent. I've asked where it came from and my friend sitting beside said it's her hand cream from Crabtree and Evelyn. And so my fanaticism for their products started. They sell really really lovely scents with many varieties.
  • Product dispenses easily from the tube.
  • The moisturizing effects and the scent lasts a while after application.

Cons
  • A bit pricey.

I'm really in love with this product so much so that I've also purchased a Eu de Toilette from them with the same scent (Pear and Pink Magnolia). Most hand creams I've come across would just leave your hands smelling good but this product really change it all as it's ultra moisturising (as it's name imply) which leaves your hand super smooth and soft with a lovely pear and pink magnolia scent. I would definitely recommend this product. It's also great great idea. I'm totally sold out.
