Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water

I've never been so happy with a beauty product before! I've read great reviews of Garnier's SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water Makeup Remover online but I could never say it actually works until I've experienced it myself.

What Garnier Claims

This All-in-1 cleanser is surprisingly powerful yet gentle to skin. It effectively removes makeup, cleanses skin and refreshes. A multi-purpose cleanser that contains Micellar technology. Like a magnet, micelles capture and lift away dirt, oil and makeup without harsh rubbing, leaving skin perfectly clean, hydrated and refreshed without over-drying.

How to Use in 3 Simple Steps : Pour, Press, Proof

Remove makeup, cleanse, and refresh without rinsing or harsh rubbing. It’s as easy as pour, press, proof. When using the waterproof cleanser, remember to shake well before use.

What I Thought

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water Makeup Remover is an amazing product! I've actually used olive oil to remove my makeup for years. Yes, that's the one you use in the kitchen to cook or make salads. It's natural, effective and moisturizing but it can also get messy at times. Honestly, using olive oil as a makeup remover is a great alternative when you run out of your bottle. Now back to Garnier's SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water. I've decided to try the product because of the many good reviews I've read about it online. It's affordable so why not?!

Pros
  • As mentioned, it's affordable. Got it at Walmart for less than $10USD.
  • It works! It doesn't dry out my skin. It's amazing when it looks just like bottled water but then works effectively to remove makeup, especially eye makeup where it's the hardest.
  • It's gentle to the skin. No stinging sensation at all.
  • Doesn't break out my skin.
  • Non-greasy and no irritation.
  • Other than being a makeup remover, it also doubles up as a facial cleanser.

Cons
  • You may have to do a few more swipes to completely remove makeup on your face with more cotton pads/buds to finish the job.

You can opt not to wash your face after removing your makeup with Garnier's SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water. But because I'm used to a nightly routine, I still wash my face with water and soap to thoroughly clean it. This product is actually best for removing light/regular makeup and washable mascara. To remove long wear makeup and waterproof mascara, you may want to check out their other makeup remover : Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water & Waterproof Remover.

Note: I'm not paid to do this. I'm just one happy customer out there. Have you tried this makeup remover before? Let me know what you think of it too, in the comment section below.
