"I change my mind." The husband announced. "Instead of a 1-night hotel stay at Old Quebec, let's add one more night."
While looking at a Youtube video, I responded with an okay. Five minutes later, I hurried to the basement and pulled a small piece of luggage from our closet.
"Start preparing for bed!" I yelled the loudest I could to overpower the sound of the television in the living area.
The next day, I was confident. Clothes. Check. Snacks. Check. Toiletries. Check.
The 5-hour drive from Ottawa to Old Quebec was uneventful. We headed to our favorite Canadian restaurant chain, Boston Pizza for dinner. Thankfully, they have a branch near our hotel.
Before retiring that night, "Gosh, I only bought two sets of clothes." How could I miss it? Though the husband is clear with the change of plan, my mind forgot to update the 1-night stay to 2-nights. I went ahead and did autopilot with the preps. lol
It's not like I can't buy it from there. "Better not to add many items to your cart." He warned. "Quebec has a higher tax rate than Ontario."
Got it. But of course, I'm uber grateful I get to shop. Thus the story of the black knit top I wore in this post from Winners Canada. Love it! ;)
