Here's our 3-day road trip itinerary from Ottawa, Ontario to Tobermory, Ontario, Canada. We did it on a weekend so it won't deduct 3 days worth of holiday leave at work.
Day 1
- Drive from Ottawa, Ontario to Tobermory, Ontario (7 hours 30 minutes). This could take 8 - 9 hours with stopovers
- Arrived at Tobermory Village Camp. We rented a glamping pod during our short stay. See here.
Day 2
- Take a boat ride to Flowerpot Island and view one of the sunken ships in the area.
- Dine, shop, and stroll Downtown Tobermory
- Back to the village camp for a barbecue dinner and gather around the fire at night.
Day 3
- Swim at the Halfway Log Dump. Unfortunately, we weren't able to visit The Grotto. We weren't able to secure a parking spot online.
- Drive back home to Ottawa, Ontario. We took a quick stopover at Brampton in Toronto for lunch.
Tobermory, Ontario is a must-visit in summer. If you can, take a week's worth of visit. :)
