Home for Christmas 2021

Excuse my son's stuff in that basket. I keep his toys there. On a daily, our living area is a mess. Toys everywhere. Whines and tantrums from one corner to another. Oh, dear. I salute all the other moms, who look after two or more kids. How do you keep your sanity?

As mentioned in this post, I started full-time work this week. I can't look after our 4-year-old anymore. Thankfully, I befriended another mom in the playground -- rather, she befriended me -- who has a Day Care. Sending our boy to her home lightened my load. I could focus on work.

It's Christmas once again, wow, another year has gone by. Looking back at what has been, I do have regrets. My inaction has kept me stagnant. We were waiting for something to happen. For our U.S. Green Card Application. Unfortunately, up until now, it's still in process. And two years have gone by.

How long will we keep on waiting? I have allowed something external, a thing beyond my scope, to dictate the direction of our lives. But no more. The husband and I decided to let it go. Allow our roots to flourish where we are planted.

If we ever decide to go back to Texas, there is another path. But that's for later.

I have big goals for next year. A huge chunk of that is apportioned to fulfilling my new job with excellence. If possible, even exceed expectations. I'm aware I need to catch up with my peers, my skills needed sharpening. That means I have no business slacking off.

The biggest battle I will ever face is not even the tasks at work -- however difficult they may be -- rather, my inferior thinking. For someone like me, who easily succumbs to intimidation and fear, it will be like conquering Mt. Everest.

Nobody knows what super typhoons will challenge us in the year ahead. But this I'm confident, so long as my foundation is built on the Solid Rock, we will stand.

Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”

~ Matthew 7:24-27

Have a Merry Wonderful Christmas to you and your family!!!
