The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa: Where to Stay in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

After our 4-day whirlwind road trip, it's time to relax. My husband found an interesting resort 30 minutes from The Strip called The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa. We've cashed out $245.16 for 2 nights stay. Breakfast is not included.

The resort had the feel of a luxe, 5-star quality, resort but only smaller.

I love the Moroccan-inspired vibe.

Our room had a complimentary 1-hour kayak session and a free ticket to an Orchestra, which was organized by the group of resorts at Lake Las Vegas. We failed to go because we were overcome with lethargy. (lol)

It was our first time kayaking and we had a blast! We've instantly picked up the skill and started to tease the ducks happily swimming at the lake. Ahahaa!

I love our time at the resort. The resort had two swimming areas both at 3 feet deep. Not so much fun for seasoned swimmers, eh?

I also love that it's far from the hustle and bustle of The Strip. We definitely deserve a relaxing time after our crazy schedule road tripping the western part of the US. The resort had a free shuttle service to The Strip but you have to book in advance as it's always packed.

Who would have thought an oasis-like this is found in Las Vegas? The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa is nestled beside a beautiful lake. There are other resorts in the area as well as luxe restaurants located at Montelago Village, which by the way is hard to find.

I love this resort and I've enjoyed our stay here. It was a bit smaller but we were able to destress and relax. The peaceful atmosphere was a plus especially if you're looking for a resort that's away from the crazy city life of The Strip. All in all, it was a good experience.
