Fashion Inspiration : Met Gala 2014 Red Carpet Looks

Have you seen the stars with their beautiful gowns at Met Gala 2014 yet? If you haven't then you might want to check out some of them in their red carpet looks from this link

To give you an overview of what Met Gala is then perhaps a description from wiki can help. It says,

"The Met Gala, formally called the Costume Institute Gala and also known as the Met Ball, is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. It also serves as an opening celebration for the institute's annual fashion exhibit. It is widely regarded as one of the most exclusive social events in New York and one of the biggest fundraising nights of the city with a reported nine million dollars raised in 2013. The affair, attended by personalities from the arts, fashion and entertainment, has been held at the Met since 1971 and is considered to be the fashion industry's premier annual red carpet event."

I must admit that I so was inspired by the fashion statements of the stars in attendance so much so that I've decided to put up an fashion inspiration board. I must say they all look stunning. But I've only pick up the gowns that I would want to wear for myself (we'll either in my dreams or in real life [if time and chance will give me an opportunity], why not??).

FASHION INSPIRATIONS

Selena Gomez definitely nailed it in this maroon dress by Diane Von Furstenberg paired with those dangling diamonds and an old Hollywood sleek updo. I was inspired by her courage and strength to face the world amidst all the drama that she is currently going through in her life.

Joan Smalls wore a dress by Vera Wang. I really love her gown. It's something I would want to wear during a special occasion. I applaud her boldness for wearing a dark purple lipstick too. You go girl!

Another gown that I would want to wear for an elegant occasion is a gown worn by Blake Lively from Gucci. I really love her fashion tastes. Fact is she doesn't have her own fashion consultant or stylist or anything like that. This woman really knows what she wants and what suits her best.

Kylie Minogue dazzles in this Marchesa gown. I definitely love the details of this dress.

And last but not the least is the pink ensemble from Emma Stone by Thakoon. For me, this doesn't look like a gown or a dress that you would want to wear for an elegant / formal occasion yet she made it look like so. I really love her look along with how her hair is kept.
