Wat Na Phramen (The Last Ancient Temple): Things To Do in Thailand

Wat Na Phramen is the only ancient temple that survived after the second Ayutthaya-Burmese war and Ayutthaya kingdom was collapsed. The Year of construction was unknown but it is believed it was built in the early Ayutthaya era, with additional details and structures added in later reigns.

The ubosot (ordination hall) features old traditional Ayutthaya architectural style while enshrined inside is one of Thailand's largest and most beautiful bronze Buddha images believed to be built during the reign of King Prasat Thong. ~ source: tourismthailand

Things To Do in Thailand

We visited Wat Na Phramen after our Ayutthaya Historic Park tour. Apparently, this is the last temple left during the glorious days of Ayutthaya which was restored later for generations to witness.

Notice the different positions of buddha in the photo above.

After scouring the area our bus driver then gave us a cold & wet towel each to wipe away the sweat. It's refreshing!! Somehow I felt that I needed to take a cold shower.
